Aspalathus linearis, known universally as Rooibos, is South Africa's most famous botanical export. Endemic to the Cederberg mountains, it is the only known natural source of Aspalathin — a potent antioxidant with documented anti-diabetic, cardioprotective, and anti-inflammatory properties.
